Kelsea Ballerini in Shania Twain’s 1999 Grammys Dress at 2022 ACM Honors
Kelsea Ballerini honored Shania Twain in style at the 15th Annual Academy Of Country Music Honors on August 24, 2022 at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville.
The 28-year-old ‘THE LITTLE THINGS‘ singer wore the iconic white sequin embellished Marc Bouwer gown, which Shania wore for the 1999 Grammys, where she won ‘Best Country Song’ and ‘Best Female Country Vocal Performance’ for the song ‘You’re Still the One.’

Kelsea had permission from Twain and the Grammy Museum to have the dress for 48 hours and she wore it on the red carpet to pay tribute to her icon.
Ballerini told ET, “It’s Shania’s night! When I was asked to be a part of it, to honor her, we were just thinking about every possible way that we can highlight every stage of her career.”
She added “One of the things that I think she’s an icon because of is her fashion, and the way she’s always pushing boundaries. I wanted to honor that part of her too.”

While posing on the red carpet with Kelsea, Shania told ET, “I am so blown away. She (Kelsea) looks stunning. She looks like an absolute angel. It’s very flattering to see her in the dress, and that she even wanted to wear it. I said, ‘I hope it’s not too dusty after being in the [Grammy Museum].’”
Twain said, “It was an incredible night for me at the GRAMMYs. That dress represented that experience, so I’m just happy to see it alive again.”
“Now it has a new life, and it has new memories, and it’s really great to be able to share that with other people, with another women. Obviously it’s a huge compliment to be admired enough that someone would want to step into my dress,” she added.

Kelsea continued paying tribute to Shania by opening the ceremony performing the ‘Queen of Country Pop’s’ 1997 hit song, ‘Man! I Feel Like a Woman.’
Ballerini also wore the similar outfits Twain wore in her music video and even stripping down to a strapless black mini dress just like Shania.

The 56-year-old ‘From This Moment On‘ singer, Shania sparkled in a sheer Halpern gown to receive the ACM Poet’s Award at the 2022 Annual Academy Of Country Music Honors for her incredible contribution to the country music.
