Blackpink’s Lisa Wins ‘Best K-Pop’ Award at 2022 MTV VMAs
Blackpink dancer Lalisa Manobal known as Lisa made history at the 2022 MTV Video Music Awards, as the first solo K-Pop artist to win an award at VMAs.
The 25-year-old Thai born rapper won the award for her single, ‘LALISA’ during the award ceremony held on Sunday (August 28) at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.

Her Blackpink bandmates Jennie, Jisoo and Rose were cheering for Lisa, as she beaten BTS, SEVENTEEN, ITZY, Stray Kids and Twice to take home the prestigious award.

MTV Video Music Awards or VMAs is held every year since 1984 to honor the best music videos, songs & best artists of the year and this year’s ceremony was hosted by Nicki Minaj, LL Cool J and Jack Harlow.
